The incident took place outside the star's Los Angeles property on Wednesday
Police arrested a man outside Taylor Swift‘s Los Angeles home on Wednesday afternoon (February 3).
TMZ reports that a “suspicious looking man was seen wandering at the foot of [the] driveway” of Swift’s home. The man was “showed no outward signs of violent behaviour” and it is “unclear” if Swift was at the property at the time.
Officers from the LAPD reportedly arrested the man and took him into custody at around 4pm local time. The individual underwent evaluation at a nearby hospital.
Entertainment Tonight later reported that the individual was released without charge.
Taylor Swift’s representatives have released a statement saying: “This is why it’s irresponsible for the media to publish the addresses or recent real estate transactions of celebrities. This, or potentially worse, is the end result.”
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is to launch her own mobile game later this year. The pop star has signed a deal with Glu Mobile to work on the project.
As Variety reports, the gaming company have said Swift’s game is scheduled for late 2016. They will release more details about it and Swift’s involvement at a later date.
“We realise that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience,” Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi said.
“Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilise Taylor’s unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved.”
