Taylor Swift and Steven Tyler duet on ‘Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ – watch

The Aerosmith man joined Taylor on stage in Nashville

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith joined Taylor Swift on stage last night (September 25) at her show in Nashville, with the pair performing Aerosmith’s classic number one ‘Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’.

Swift’s 1989 tour has become a magnet for special guests, with previous appearances including a new act almost every night, with Avril Lavigne, Lisa Kudrow, Alanis Morrissette and Joan Baez featuring in recent weeks.

Swift tweeted about the performance, saying: “Singing ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ with @IamStevenT was an honor, so inspired by how sweet he was to all of us.”

Tyler responded “well ma’ darlin, you sure were overstood tonight! A++ epic show. Until next time.”

Tyler has been speaking about the influence of the country music scene on his songwriting over recent months, talking in particular on his intention of ‘going country’, saying “I grew up in the woods of New Hampshire… I have more country in me than people think”. He’ll shortly be releasing a country solo album on Big Machine, the same label Swift is signed to.

Taylor, meanwhile, has confirmed that she’s recording with Ryan Adams, who recently completed a full-album of covers of Swift’s ‘1989’.

Tennesse native Alison Krauss also joined Swift for the first night in Nashville, performing ‘When You Say Nothing At All’. The Bridgestone Arena will host a second Taylor Swift ‘1989 tour’ show tonight (September 26).

Swift later tweeted the below video of her performance with Tyler, as well as thanking Krauss:
