Matt Healy-fronted band will play seven huge shows this December
The 1975 have announced their first ever UK arena tour.
After their previously-announced show at The O2, London on December 16 sold out within hours, the band have scheduled another six arena shows including a second date at The O2 and dates in Manchester, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Glasgow and Cardiff.
The 1975 released their second album ‘I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it’ in February and saw it debut at Number One in both the US and UK. Their debut album ‘The 1975’ also reached Number One in the UK when it came out in 2013.
“I just want to be the band of this time,” Matt Healy told NME during The 1975’s cover interview earlier this year. “The one. The four boys in a band who play instruments.”

London, The O2 (December 15, 16)
Newcastle, Arena (December 17)
Glasgow, Hydro (December 19)
Bournemouth, International Centre (December 21)
Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena (December 22)
