And they're gutted about it....
THE AGENDA reckon they’re destined never to see The Darkness live – despite being asked to support them in NEW YORK last week!
The US rockers were due to support the UK sensations at the Bowery Ballroom on September 18. The Agenda were particularly pleased, because, despite being fans, they hadn’t seen Justin Hawkins and co live yet – The Darkness
got moved up the bill and to a different day at the Carling Weekend in August so they missed each other.
On the day of the gig, The Agenda got to Atlanta airport, guitars in hand and they got on the plane. Then the flight was cancelled because of the hurricane causing havoc on the East Coast, so they head back to Athens, Georgia, gutted.
A spokesperson for the band said: “They don’t get to play NY and they miss seeing The Darkness, again. But at least they’ve got some dates with The Panthers in the US and a new single in the New Year to look forward to.”
