Yep, the Fab Four are back - with yet another compilation...

THE BEATLES are to release ‘1’, an album of all their UK and US number ones on November 13 through EMI.

The record features 27 tracks which across the Record Retailer singles chart in the UK and Billboard chart in the US spent an unprecedented 128 weeks at the top spot. Between May 1963 and June 1970 they scored 17 UK and 20 US number ones.

‘1”s release caps an autumn of resurgent interest in the Fab Four following the October 5 publication of the encyclopaedic ‘The Beatles Anthology’ book, the re-release of two John Lennon solo albums ‘John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band’ and ‘Double Fantasy’ as well as the opening of a Lennon museum in Tokyo.
