The lyrics, written in 1965, were only expected to fetch £59,000. They formed part of a memorabilia sale at Christies in New York yesterday (November 18).
Beatles memorabilia has proved a lucrative investment in recent years. As previously reported on NME.COM, a private reel of film which featured [/a], was sold to a private bidder for £33,235.
A signed copy of ’Revolver’ made £21,600, while a guitar which was played by [a], at The Beatles’ last ever gig, raised £257,902.
