Someone's a BIG fan of 'Nowhere Man' - they paid £270,000 for this Beatles artefact...

Lyrics, handwritten by John Lennon for THE BEATLES track ’NOWHERE MAN’, have been sold for £270,000.

The lyrics, written in 1965, were only expected to fetch £59,000. They formed part of a memorabilia sale at Christies in New York yesterday (November 18).

Beatles memorabilia has proved a lucrative investment in recent years. As previously reported on NME.COM, a private reel of film which featured [/a], was sold to a private bidder for £33,235.


A signed copy of ’Revolver’ made £21,600, while a guitar which was played by [a], at The Beatles’ last ever gig, raised £257,902.

The Beatles ‘naked’ version of ’Let It Be was released this week (November 17).
