THE BEATLES’ domination of the US BILLBOARD album chart has continued this week, as the band’s ‘1’ remained at number one for a sixth consecutive week.
Sales of just over 268,000 have kept the Fab Four ahead of all comers in the chart, to be published in full tomorrow (January 11).
As with last week, there was little movement on the chart. No new albums entered the race while a few managed to sneak up a place or two.
Sade’s already big seller ‘Lovers Rock’ moved from Ten to Eight, while Dido’s ‘No Angel’ moved behind it climbing from 17 to Nine.
Other movers included the ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’ soundtrack, leaping from 192-90, and the various artists compilation ‘Wow Worship: Today’s 30 Most Powerful Worship Songs’, which re-entered the chart at Number 144 this week.
