The Black Crowes begin recording new album

Robinson brothers plan first record in six years

The Black Crowes are back in the studio to record their first album of new material for six years.

The as-yet-untitled LP is being penned in conjunction with producer and friend Paul Stacey in studios in New York and Los Angeles.

Chris and Rich Robinson reunited in 2005 after a four-year break, headlining the New Year’s Eve show at Madison Square Garden in New York as well as playing sold-out gigs at venues including the Hammerstein Ballroom (also in New York) and the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

Further details of the release have not been confirmed, but it is expected that the album will be released later this year.
