THE BLACK CROWES have been forced to postpone the second leg of their current US tour, after guest guitarist Jimmy Page injured his back.
The band, who are currently touring the US playing a set comprising Black Crowes songs and Led Zeppelin classics, were forced to cancel dates after Page, the original guitarist with Led Zeppelin, injured his back following a show in Albuquerque, New Mexico last Saturday (August 12).
As a result their tour, which started on June 24 in Chicago, has been postponed with immediate effect – although the band are trying to reschedule as many of the cancelled shows as possible before the third leg of the tour starts in Miami on September 23.
Indications from the US are that the band’s recently announced UK tour will still take place. The tour calls at: Wembley Arena (November 12) Glasgow SECC (25) Manchester Evening News Arena (26)
For tickets, call the NME 24-Hour Ticketline on 0870 1 663 663. Calls are charged at national standard rate.
Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes released a live album, ‘Live At The Greek’ in July, recorded at one of the band’s recent shows in LA.
