The Black Keys announce UK arena tour – ticket details

Ohio duo will play five dates across the UK this December, ending in a show at London's O2 Arena

The Black Keys have announced details of a UK arena tour for this December (2012).

The Ohio duo will kick off their five-date trek at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena on December 7, before playing Glasgow’s SECC on November 8, Birmingham’s NIA on December 9 and the Manchester Arena on December 11. The tour will conclude at London’s O2 Arena on December 12.

Tickets for the tour, the band’s biggest to date, will go on sale on August 31 at 9am. Tickets are priced at £27.50 for all dates, except for London, where they will cost £30.


The duo are set to perform on the Main Stage at Reading Festival today (August 26) as part of a bill including Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs and The Gaslight Anthem. They also played the Main Stage at Leeds Festival on Friday (August 24).

The December tour will begin nearly a year to the day that the duo released their seventh and most recent album, ‘El Camino’. The album, produced by Danger Mouse aka Brian Burton, debuted at Number Two in the US and has since gone gold in the UK.
