THE BLUETONES have announced a new single, ‘Sleazy Bed Track’, due to be released on July 27, along with details of a major UK tour.

The single, taken from the band’s hit ‘Return To The Last Chance Saloon’ LP, is backed by ‘The Ballad Of Muldoon’ and ‘Blue’, a cover of a song by ’80s American act Rain Parade.

The band perform at Reading Festival on Sunday, August 30, then kick off their own tour at Bradford St George’s Hall (October 31, rescheduled from May), Hull Assembly Rooms (November 1), Derby Assembly Rooms (2), Edinburgh Assembly Rooms (4), Glasgow Barrowlands (5), Preston Guildhall (6), Liverpool Royal Court (8), Exeter University (9), Cardiff University (10), Folkestone Leas Cliffe Hall (12) and London Kentish Town Forum (13).

Support for the tour has yet to be confirmed. For tickets, call the NME 24-hour ticketline on 0870 1212 500. All calls are charged at national (UK) standard rate.
