The Chapman Family have announced details of their first single in over a year.
‘All Fall’ is due out on October 31 and is the follow-up to ‘Virgins’, which was issued in September 2009.
“We genuinely don’t see the point in releasing an album that is half-arsed or rushed,” frontman and guitarist Kingsley Chapman said in a statement. “We want it to come out all guns blazing.”
Set to release their as-yet untitled debut album in 2011, the singer was also quick to comment on the group’s popularity.
“We’re not, and never have been, a ‘fashionable band’,” he explained. “So it’s not like we needed to hurry and record in order to jump on the Mumfordisation of popular, allegedly, alternative music bandwagon that’s currently rumbling along at a mediocre yet public pleasing pace.”
The Teesside quartet also revealed that the B-side to the single will be called ‘All That’s Left To Break’, which will only be available on the limited edition 7-inch vinyl and in exchange for joining the group’s email mailing list.
