Expect to hear the first fruits of their recent recordings soon...

THE CHARLATANS are planning to release a ‘one-off’ single in June, as work continues on their new album.

As previously reported, the band have been in Los Angeles, where singer Tim Burgess lives, working on the follow up to 2001’s ‘Wonderland’. The LP is not expected until 2004.

However, according to a posting on the band’s official website, [url=], a new single is likely in the summer.

The group are now back in their Big Mushroom studios, working more on the record. Four tracks have been given working titles,

‘Try Again Today’, ‘Wave The World Goodbye’, ‘Feel The Pressure’ and ‘See How Clear It Is’.

The Charlatans have just announced they are to play the T in The Park festival in Scotland on July 13.
