The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess hints at Glastonbury secret set

The festival runs in Pilton, Somerset this weekend

The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess has hinted that he’ll play a secret set at Glastonbury Festival.

Secret sets are a regular occurrence at Glastonbury. In 2014 Mumford & Sons were joined by Haim for a secret set on the Gentleman Of The Road stage in the Avalon Café. While in 2013, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and producer Nigel Godrich played a secret two-hour DJ set which included tracks by Prince and NWA.

Posting to Twitter, Burgess quoted mysterious geographical coordinates and winked at the suggestion that he was sighted at the festival. See below.

Glastonbury 2015 will run from June 24-28 at Worthy Farm, headlined by Kanye West, The Who and Florence And The Machine.

Glastonbury recently unveiled the set times for this year’s main stages, with several frustrating clashes arising.

The festival has already run into a number of problems with Foo Fighters being forced to pull out of their headline set and organiser Emily Eavis revealing that she received death threats following the booking of Kanye West.

Kanye West graces the cover of this week’s NME, available digitally and on newsstands now.
