THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS are to headline a new dance festival at Punchestown Racecourse near Dublin, Eire on June 24.
Creamfields Ireland, a sister festival to Creamfields England, set to take place at Old Liverpool Airport on August 26, is also set to feature Basement Jaxx and Moloko.
Further acts will be announced over the next few weeks.
The Chemical Brothers, who’s last album ‘Surrender’ has now sold more than 2.2million copies, also headline Glastonbury Festival on June 23.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the band has revealed that the Chems turned down the US President Bill Clinton’s wife Hilary who invited the pair to attend the launch of her US Senate campaign at Pastis in New York on May 9.
The spokesperson said: “They just had other commitments on that day, so they said no. They weren’t going to play, they were just invited to hang out. I suppose Hilary thought it would be quite cool to have them there. It’s a shame they couldn’t go really – I think it would’ve been a laugh!”
Whether or not First Lady Hillary is a massive Chemicals fan had not been confirmed by The White House as nme.com committed this story to cyberspace.
