The duo play a festive set at their favourite London venue of Turnmills...

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERSare to headline a special one-off Christmas club night at TURNMILLS club in LONDON, playing a five-hour DJ set.

As part of the Glint club night, the pair will appear in Room One of the 1,000-capacity club on December 14, alongside Nathan Detroit. Room Two is headlined by Justin Robertson, supported by Moonboots, while Room Three features Vegetable Vision, long-time Chemicals visual collaborators.

In a statement issued via Turnmills, once home to The Chemicals Brothers -hosted Heavenly Social evenings, they say it will be a festive celebration, and hint broadly that they will be playing “some new stuff”. It is unclear whether they are referring to material of their own, but they are understood to have been working on new songs.

The statement reads: “We’re treating it as our Christmas party and it’s at a venue we love, with a line-up of our favourite DJs on board for the night. We’re really looking forward to playing some new stuff and getting stuck in.”

The event, which runs from 10pm until 5.30am, is the latest in the series of Glint evenings which Tom and Ed Chemical have promoted and it is also being used to raise awareness of the new appeal for the Barts Cancer Centre Of Excellence, based in Farringdon in London, close to Turnmills. More information about the appeal, which aims to create a state-of-the-art breast cancer screening and diagnostic centre, can be found at
