Cooper Temple Clause will make their US live debut next month.
The band will head stateside to perform in support of Longview at NYC’s Irving Plaza (October 24). The gig is part of industry conference the CMJ Music Marathon which runs across the city from 22-25. Tickets are currently available on Ticketmaster for $15, but generally those with conference laminates will be able to gain entry.
The show is expected to be highly subscribed. Although the band’s debut, ’See Through This and Leave’ was never released domestically in the US, the band managed to get a review in Rolling Stone magazine where they got four out of five stars.
The magazine encouraged fans to buy it online, and praised the group saying Cooper Temple Clause were an “all bright, tight protein, a vacuum-packed volley of iron rock, Bomb Squad-style hip-hop science and aboriginal Hawkwind-like electronics that makes current U.S. metal sound like, well, a puddle of mud.”
There is talk of the Cooper Temple Clause returning stateside early next year for a bigger tour stint and record releases, according to the band’s website [url=]coopertempleclause.com.
