Coral have postponed their headline NME AWARDS SHOW due for February 11 after guitarist LEE SOUTHALL developed tendonitis.
The band have also been forced to scrap their UK and Ireland tour due to start at Dublin’s Ambassador Theatre on February 2. Coral are said to be “brutally disappointed” that the show and the tour have suffered, but will now play their NME Awards Show at London Astoria on April 10.
Southall is seeing three specialists at present. His problem has developed because of a nerve problem in his neck, which is causing the tendonitis. At present, it is unclear if he will have to undergo surgery on the problem or if good old-fashioned rest will sort it out.
The other bands on the Coral’s NME bill, The Basement, Sleepy Jackson and Kings Of Leon, will now play at The Garage in north London on the same date.
Fans not wanting to go to the new show must go to their point of purchase where they can do one of three things, get a refund, transfer their old ticket to the new date, or to the new show at The Garage.
