20,000 tickets sold in just 60 minutes for June 2015 date
The Courteeners have sold out their huge Heaton Park gig in Manchester next year in just under an hour.
Tickets for the headline gig, which takes place on June 5, went on sale at 9am this morning with all 20,000 tickets sold out just 60 minutes later.
The Courteeners’ last Manchester shows took place in 2013 at Castlefield Bowl, where the band sold out two nights. Meanwhile, the quartet released fourth album ‘Concrete Love’ earlier this year, with the record reaching Number Three on the UK album charts – their highest chart entry to date.
The band recently completed a short UK tour, playing a selection of dates throughout the country including a headline show at London’s o2 Academy Brixton, which was stopped after a crowd member set off a flare in the venue.
Support acts for the Heaton Park gig are yet to be announced. The Stone Roses famously played three nights at Heaton Park in 2012.
