The Cribs announce details of one-off ‘Cribsmas’ gig in Leeds this December

Band will play at end-of-year show at O2 Leeds Academy on December 19

The Cribs have announced details of a special Christmas show to take place in Leeds this December.

The Wakefield trio will play O2 Leeds Academy on December 19, with the band also promising they will be joined by some “very special guests” who will be announced in the future. Earlier this year, The Cribs picked up the Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music award at The NME Awards 2013. The band have released five albums since forming in 2003 with the most recent, ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’, released in May 2012. In March of this year, the band also put out their demo collection ‘Payola’ collection free with NME.

In June, meanwhile, frontman Ryan Jarman was admitted to hospital with a kidney infection. The singer is also currently working on his Exclamation Pony project with former Here We Go Magic member Jen Turner, with the pair releasing the track ‘Rumours’ together earlier this year.

The Cribs played a series of ‘Cribsmas’ shows at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club in 2007. Playing one of their first three albums over three consecutive nights, they were joined by guests including Franz Ferdinand, Kate Nash and Kaiser Chiefs.
