Frontman says he's still in 'a bit of pain' after spending time in New York hospital
The Cribs frontman Ryan Jarman has reassured and thanked his fans after he was recently admitted to hospital.
He wrote: “Thanks for hospital well wishes! Still a bit of pain & tests to be done, but watching a Queen @Dr Brian May DVD so I’m happy!”
A later post on the band’s Facebook page reveals that Jarman was admitted to hospital with a kidney infection. “Update: Ryan was in hospital with a kidney infection and tests on his liver and gall bladder,” reads the post. “He is out now, and will be back in action for Hard Rock Calling. Thanks for the love!”
Earlier this year, The Cribs picked up this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music award at The NME Awards 2013, which took place at its new home, Troxy, in east London on February 27. The band performed ‘Mirror Kisses’ on the night to celebrate their victory.
It was confirmed earlier this month (June) that The Cribs will perform as part of the Weezer Cruise in 2014 alongside Palma Violets, Ash, Cat Power and Weezer themselves. The boat-based festival will take place from February 13-17, and sail from Jacksonville in Florida to the Bahamas.
