The Cure remix Ride’s ‘Vapour Trail’ plus announce North American tour

The Twilight Sad to support band on 2016 tour

The Cure’s frontman Robert Smith has remixed Ride.

The singer has taken on Ride’s ‘Vapour Trail’ ahead of the recently reunited Oxford band’s 25th anniversary reissue of debut album, ‘Nowhere’.

The goth-rockers released their most recent album ‘4:13 Dream’ in 2008, with a live album following in 2011.

Listen to Smith’s remix below. It won’t appear on the reissue.

The Cure have also announced details of a forthcoming North American tour. The 25-date tour will take place during 2016, with initial shows announced in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. More shows will be announced in January.

Support on the dates comes from The Twilight Sad. Robert Smith recently covered the band’s ‘There’s A Girl In The Corner’. Listen to that below.

The Cure and The Twilight Sad play:

Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl (May 22, 2016)
Chicago UIC Pavilion (June 10)
New York Madison Square Garden (18)
