THE CURE are to headline the Sunday night (May 2) at this year’s COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL.
According to the band’s official website, thecure.com, Robert Smith and the boys are the latest act to be confirmed for the Californian festival, due to take place at Indio’s Empire Polo Field between May 1-2.
This year’s festival is already expected to include a headlining performances on the Saturday night from Radiohead, Libertines and the highly anticipated reunion of the Hives.
Also rumoured to be appearing at the festival are French electronica duo Air and Mars Volta.
As previously reported on NME.COM, last year’s Coachella boasted a line-up including Blur, [/a], [a], [/a] and [a], and attracted 68,000 fans.
Further details about performers will be revealed over the coming weeks.
Tickets are to go on sale on February 14 and will be
available through Ticketmaster.
General admission tickets for each day will be priced at $75.00 per day, with a limited amount of two-day tickets available for $140.00 plus $1 per day for charity.
