The goth veterans play Islington Carling Academy to raise funds for Nordiff-Robins Music Therapy...

THE CURE are to headline a charity concert in LONDON in December.

The band will headline a show at the London Islington Carling Academy on December 11 in aid of the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, an organisation who work with children and adults with debilitating conditions.

In a statement, Robert Smith said: “We have always admired the work carried out by Nordoff-Robbins, and it is a pleasure for us to be given this opportunity to lend our support – it’s a great idea and a wild bill, and we are really looking forward to this show – it should be something special!”

The gig will be their smallest British gig in years. However, the band are keen to point out that this is a charity event, not a concert headlined by the band.
