They record it in a disused gay bath-house in Oregon...
THE DANDY WARHOLS have finished recording their third album – which was recorded in a former gay bath-house in their hometown of Portland, Oregon.
“Wherever The Dandy Warhols go, sleaze raises its ugly head,” their spokesman said. The as-yet-untitled LP is currently being mixed and will be released in early summer.
It is being described by their spokesman as containing a fair smattering of “hi-NRG pop songs from the rockier end of The Dandy Warhols‘ music scale”.
The spokesman added that guitarist Peter Holmstrom had begun work on his first solo album, which he has been recording in Minneapolis.
The project, which Holmstrom plans to finish once the Warhols album has been completed, is being produced by Ed Acherson of US band Polara. The Warhols album will be the follow-up to 1997’s ‘Come Down’ which spawned the hit singles ‘Every Day Should Be A Holiday’ and ‘Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth’.
