NME.COM gets the inside story on the band’s forthcoming UK tour…

The Darkness will be supported by ASH on their forthcoming UK tour, NME.COM can reveal.

Following their headline slot at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals this month, the band have lined up a UK arena tour.

According to those close to the tour, Ash will support on the dates.

The two bands became friends after supporting Robbie Williams at Knebworth last year, and will also play on the same day of the Reading and Leeds festivals. The other rumoured support is The Wildhearts.

Speaking previously about the tour, Justin Hawkins said: “The arena tour in November will also be amazing. I’m looking forward to the end of that which will finish with three dates at Wembley, although I’m not sure If that is all confirmed yet.”

NME.COM understands that tickets for the shows will go on sale at the start of September.
