The UK rockers triumph on the final night of their American tour...

FOO FIGHTERS’ DAVE GROHL and drummer TAYLOR HAWKINS were amongst the crowd to see The Darkness play the final date of their US tour.

The stars, who are currently working up ideas for the next Foos album, were in an LA crowd also featuring Timothy B Schmit, bassist for ’70s Southern California rockers The Eagles and members of The Donnas. Kelly and Jack Osbourne were spotted at the band’s Saturday show (April 17).

During the final show (April 18) [a][/a] managed to blow out the speakers at the Henry Fonda Theatre. During their last song – ‘Love On The Rocks (With No Ice)’, frontman Justin Hawkins was just about to do his traditional walk through the crowd on the shoulders of his bouncer when the sound blew.

Though the drums and bass could still be heard, the guitar parts of Hawkins and his brother Dan were inaudible for almost a minute.

After some shouting, the crew managed to get the sound back up and the band finished up their final gig, promising to come back in September.

The tour has been a tremendous success for the band who managed to sell out every show on their tour, requiring the addition of extra dates in several cities, including Los Angeles. The group recently went Gold, signifying 500,000 sales of debut album ‘Permission To Land’.
