The band get set to dribble for the kids...

The Darkness will be playing a charity football match at EVERTON’s GOODISON PARK next month (May 9).

The spandex rockers have confirmed that they will be taking part in this year’s Soccer Six charity event, which will feature a host of celebrities showing off their dribbling skills in aid of The Prince’s Trust and Give A Child A Chance.

The Soccer Six matches will then be played at Leeds’ Elland Road (May 16) and Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground (May 23).

Mark Abery, Soccer Six spokesperson, said: “We are delighted that The Darkness have reinforced the high quality of big named acts that play in Soccer Six year on year.”

Further details of the celebrity line-ups are to be announced shortly and tickets for the events are available on the Soccer Six hotline, 0870 100 0000.
