The Darkness are set to have a street named after them in their hometown.
Councillors in Lowestoft, Norfolk, want to honour the soft rock stars and mark their recent musical ascent, reports Ananova.
” I feel that we should do something to celebrate their success,” said Councillor Wendy Mawer. “I have suggested that we name a road after them because three of the band, including Justin Hawkins, are from Lowestoft. I don’t think Darkness Close would be very popular but I am keen on Hawkins Close or Hawkins Way.”
She added: “Their agent has told us they would be absolutely honoured.”
