The group are back from Down Under - and back on the town...

The Darkness were among the crowd to check out upcoming rap collective GOLDIE LOOKIN’ CHAIN last night (February 3).

Justin Hawkins and Ed Graham from the chart-topping cock rockers had just arrived home from Australia, but were sure to check out the debut London headline show from the hotly-tipped Welsh hip-hoppers.

The eight-strong crew, from Newport, played a sold-out Metro. In a 40-minute set, they played songs like ‘The Maggot’ and ‘Your Mother’s Got A Penis’. They also dedicated the metal-tinged ‘Silver Shadow’ to “our brothers in The Darkness“.

On Monday (February 2), Goldie Lookin’ Chain supported Streets at the NME Awards Show at London Astoria. Tomorrow (February 5), they perform two songs on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, where the ‘Live Lounge’ has been renamed the ‘Leisurewear Lounge’ in honour of the band’s get-up of Matalan tracksuits and fake Argos gold.

This weekend, Goldie Lookin’ Chain support The Darkness at Portsmouth Pyramid Centre (February 7) and Folkstone Leas Cliff Hall (8).
