The Darkness, The Strokes and White Stripes all up for awards...

THE DARKNESS, THE STROKES and KINGS OF LEON have all been nominated at this year’s BRIT AWARDS.

This year’s awards will take place at Earl’s Court in London (February 17). The Darkness have been nominated in the Best British Album, Best British Group, British Rock Act and British Breakthrough Artist categories, and are expected to play live.

Elsewhere, The Strokes, White Stripes and Kings Of Leon have all been nominated in the Best International Group category, while the Kings also get the nod in the International Breakthrough Artist award.


Dido, Dizzee Rascal, Daniel Bedingfield and Busted have all picked up a number of nominations each.
