The Dead Weather have launched a second new track from their forthcoming third album, ‘Dodge And Burn’, which is due out at the end of September.
‘Cop and Go’ follows the earlier release of ‘I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)’, and will be delivered ahead of the album to the inboxes of those who have pre-ordered the latest LP from Jack White, Alison Mosshart and co.
The band released an instructional video this week, showing fans how to drum their way through ‘Hang You From The Heavens’. Three further videos will follow over the coming weeks.
The four-piece will also break their live hiatus shortly, playing their first live show in five years on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on American TV this coming Monday, September 14.
Mosshart has said of the band’s return:
“It feels so good to put music out into the world, it’s the best feeling ever. I’m really happy that we have things for people to hear, something new.” Speaking of the recording sessions, meanwhile, she added: “It’s really easy and pleasant and enjoyable to be in the studio with these guys and jam and write songs, it happens so naturally, it’s a joy.”
