The Decemberists have released a teaser video for their forthcoming new single ‘Make You Better’.
Click above to listen to a minute of the new track, with the group promising “More to come on Monday…”. The song comes from the band’s new album ‘What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World’, which will be released on January 19, 2015.
Frontman Colin Meloy unveiled the LP by busking in front of a painted mural of the album’s artwork in the Brooklyn neighbourhood of Williamsburg last Friday (October 24) during the CMJ music festival, performing ‘Make You Better’ live, which you can see below.
Meloy himself took to Twitter approximately 40 minutes ahead of the appearance to inform fans, while the band’s label, Capitol Records, later posted a picture of the mural.
Hi NYers! I’ll be the bearded and bespectacled guy at Bedford & 7th, busking new Decemberists songs. 11:30. Like, in 40 min. Come on by!
