And they meet their fans at the NME Signing Tent...

[/a] kicked off their V FESTIVAL weekend today (August 16) in STAFFORD with a blistering set on the NME STAGE featuring seven new songs.

Fronted by Brody Armstrong, the band gave fans a glimpse of what to expect from their forthcoming album, produced by Gil Norton.

Armstrong told NME.COM: “We played seven new songs including ‘Coral Fang’, ‘Draining The Blood’ and ‘Dismantle Me’.”

She added, “‘Dismantle Me’ is always a big hit, but it was all good… the crowd were really responsive. With the new stuff, you’ve got to check which ones the kids are after… but it was really good.”

The singer also revealed what fans can look forward to at tomorrow’s appearance at Chelmsford (August 17), saying: “We might play ‘Midgets And Moo-Moos'”.

Earlier in the day [a] caused a frenzy in the NME signing tent. The band were greeted by hundreds of fans, including many Armstrong look-a-likes, who queued for hours in order to meet the punk four-piece.

Bassist Ryan Sinn told NME.COM: “This is our first UK festival and it’s great to be here… We’ve done some festivals in Germany but we’re really excited about playing in Britain!”

Despite heavy jet lag, the band signed autographs for over an hour, before heading off to perform a blistering set on at 4.30pm.

The band played an intimate warm-up gig at London’s Highbury Garage on Thursday (August 14) in preparation for this weekend’s gig. [a][/a] will play Glasgow’s Big Day Out On The Green on August 24.
