Never-before-heard track from The Doors surfaces

'She Smells So Nice' will be included on the 40th anniversary reissue of 'L.A. Woman'

A previously unheard track from The Doors has been unearthed and will be included on the forthcoming reissue of their classic album ‘L.A. Woman’.

The song, entitled, ‘She Smells So Nice’, was recently discovered by producer Bruce Botnick, who was going through old session tapes in order to put together the reissue for the album’s 40th anniversary, reports Rolling Stone.

The reissue is due out on January 23, 2012. Listen to an excerpt from ‘She Smells So Nice’ here via Rolling Stone.

This summer The Doors’ late frontman Jim Morrison was honoured by two of his former bandmates on the 40th anniversary of his death, July 3.

Keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger visited the singer’s grave in Paris to light candles in his memory at the Pere Lachaise cemetery. Morrison died in 1971 in the French capital, with the cause of death believed to have been a drug overdose.
