Wearing his trademark purple hat and a sharp suit, the Culture Club singer joined the New York band at Camden’s Roundhouse to sing backing vocals on ‘If He Likes It, Let Him Do It’. Lead singer Jonathan Pierce then swapped duties with Boy George, as the pair duetted on Culture Club’s classic ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?’

George later tweeted: ‘Brilliant fun singing with The Drums at The Roundhouse!! Great audience!’ The Culture Club singer also bumped into friends backstage at the event- and posted a photo of himself with Theo Hutchraft of Hurts.

The Drums enjoyed the experience too, tweeting[/ur]: “Last night was maybe our favourite show since we started the band. Thank you @BoyGeorge for singing ‘If He Likes It…’.”

George has previously spoken positively of The Drums, telling NME in 2009 they reminded him of The Smiths and A Flock Of Seagulls. He added: “They look really English, that’s the funny thing. They look like they’re from London. Th…ws tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0844 858 6765.
