Eagles, Linkin Park aid California fire victims

So Cal venues reopen their doors

The Eagles, Linkin Park and Gwen Stefani are among the artists who have pledged to donate funds to aid Southern California fire victims.

Fires have been burning throughout the state since October 21, and approximately half a million residents have been evacuated from their homes.

The Eagles have pledged $50,000 to a fund for firefighters, and Linkin Park said they would donate $50,000 to fire victims.

Stefani is donating $160,000 in proceeds from her October 30 concert in San Diego – one of the areas hit hardest by the fires – to the charity San Diego Foundation for fire relief efforts, reports Billboard.

Meanwhile, several venues that temporarily closed down because of the fires have reopened their doors, and cancelled concerts have been rescheduled.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s show, originally scheduled for October 24 at San Diego’s Cox Arena, will take place November 10.

Velvet Revolver’s concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine on October 26 was moved to December 12 at the Los Angeles Gibson Amphitheatre.
