The Enemy and Beth Ditto to break world record?

Consequences supergroup want to get highest number of charity downloads

Consequences the supergroup featuring the likes of The Enemy, Beth Ditto, Paul Weller, and Supergrass, are attempting to set a new world record for the highest number of downloads for a charity single in one day.

The attempt takes place today (May 2), and 5,000 copies of the charity Crisis track need to be downloaded to get in the record books.

All proceeds from the record will go towards helping Crisis to help thousands of homeless people.

Ambassador for Crisis, Pearl Lowe, said: “Before everyone goes off for the bank holiday, we want them to think about giving something back and helping us to set this world record.”

The track is available on various download services including iTunes, 7Digital, Napster, among others.

Graham Coxon, New Young Pony Club and members of Babyshambles and The Smiths also appear on the single.
