The Flaming Lips cover Radiohead

Wayne Coyne and co. tackle 'Knives Out'

The Flaming Lips are due to cover Radiohead’s ’Knives Out’ for a new compilation album.

’Sounds Eclectic: The Covers Project’ also features The Magic Numbers covering Beyonce’s ’Crazy In Love’, R.E.M covering Glen Campbell’s ’Gentle On My Mind’ and Paul Weller’s version of Rose Royce’s ’Wishing On A Star’.

The album will be sold in selected US Starbucks locations from March 13. The tracks were culled from US radio station KCRW’s ’Morning Becomes Eclectic’ show. A portion of the sales will aid the station’s effort to digitilise its’ music library, reports Billboard.


A UK release date is yet to be announced.
