THE FLAMING LIPS and My Bloody Valentine founder Kevin Shields have been added to the line-up of the Bowlie Weekender festival (April 23-25). They also play a one-off London date with Merz at Camden Electric Ballroom on April 22.
The Flaming Lips, who release a new album ‘The Soft Bulletin’ – already being tipped as this year’s ‘Deserter’s Songs’ – on May 10 through Warners, will headline the second stage on Saturday after a Kevin Shields, who will be backed by Mercury Rev.
Mercury Rev will play their own set on Sunday night before festival headliners Belle & Sebastian.
