The Flaming Lips have collaborated with Lightning Bolt on a new song – scroll down and click below to see the video for the track.

Titled ‘I Wanna Get High But I Don’t Want Brain Damage’, the track comes complete with a mind-bending multicoloured video which focuses on singer Wayne Coyne‘s mouth.

Introducing the song at the start of the clip, Coyne comments: “It’s a wonderful song. Some of it’s kind of disturbing, some of it’s kind of funny but overall I think it’s very entertaining.”

He also announced details of an instore signing session at Newbury Comics in Boston, MA on Tuesday (July 26), where limited edition 12″ vinyl packages of the new track will be available to buy.

Coyne also promised to bring along some of the band’s ‘gummy skulls’ and ‘gummy foetuses’, which are USB sticks of new songs hidden inside giant gummy sweets.

Earlier this year, The Flaming Lips released two new songs‘Drug Chart’ and ‘In Our Bodies, Out Of Our Heads’ – online.
