The Fratellis preview new songs in Morecambe

Jon Fratelli bounces back from voice problems

The Fratellis gave fans a preview of their new album at the small Morecambe Dome venue in Lancashire last night (April 9).

The Scots performed a number of new tracks from their second album ‘Here We Stand’, due to be released on June 9.

The group opened the set with forthcoming single ‘Mistress Mabel’, and performed a number of new tracks including ‘Milk And Honey’ and ‘Tell Me A Lie’.


The Fratellis played an 18-song set lasting an hour and a half, despite Jon Fratelli having lost his voice only a couple of weeks previously.

After leaving the stage, the band returned to crowd chants of ‘Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea’, before performing ‘Flathead’, new song ‘Loopy Brown’ and crowd favourite ‘Chelsea Dagger’.

The band are set to play London‘s Royal Albert Hall tomorrow (April 11) as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust‘s gigs, which also feature Muse the following night (April 12).
