The Fratellis and Chapman Family to close In The City

Climax of 2008 music conference confirmed

The Fratellis and hotly-tipped newcomers The Chapman Family have been announced as the closing acts for In The City 2008.

The bands will play Manchester Academy on October 7.

The yearly music showcase was started in 1992 by the late Factory Records impresario Tony Wilson and Yvette Livesey. It aims to act as a networking event for unsigned bands trying to break into the music industry.

In The City 2008 takes place in Manchester between October 5 and 7.
