The Futureheads are heading back to the US following their forthcoming SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS TOUR 2005 for a Stateside jaunt.

The trek, which kicks off on February 21 in Washington DC’s 9.30 Club, will see them play a host of bigger venues, including the Fine Line Café in Minneapolis, where Pixies made their legendary comeback in 2004.

The 18-date jaunt will also see them perform as part of the South By Southwest festival in Texas and at the 1,000 capacity Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, the same venue The Darkness last played in that city.

The Futureheads’ bassist Jaff said the group were looking forward to heading back to the US.

“We enjoy [touring] in America,” he said recently. “You get to sample all the cultures when you travel around and the crowds have been really receptive.”
