Recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville with producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg), the band’s fifth LP will be released on August 18 through Virgin/EMI.
Speaking to NME, the band said their new direction and decision to work with Crossey was inspired by his production on The 1975’s debut. “We were like, ‘Well, that sounds different, what would happen if a band like us works with a guy who makes records sound like that’”, explained frontman Brian Fallon.
The release will be supported by a five-date UK tour in November, which will see the band playing their biggest ever UK headline shows, including a date at London’s Alexandra Palace on November 19, and gigs in Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
