The Ghost Inside announce details of their first live show since 2015 bus crash

The band’s drummer Andrew Tkaczyk lost his leg in the crash

The Ghost inside have announced details of their first live show since their tour bus crashed in 2015.

The incident, which took place in Texas, meant that their US shows were cancelled and they took time out to recover.

But earlier this month, the band hinted that they were back in the studio and have now confirmed that they’re set to play a one off live show at The Shrine in Los Angeles on July 13th 2019.

At the time of the crash, the band confirmed the news with the message: “Thanks to everyone who reached out with concern today. The Ghost Inside was involved in a serious bus accident outside El Paso, TX this morning.

“All 5 band members + all members of the crew are alive and currently being treated for their injuries. Please keep them in your thoughts as well as their bus driver and those in the other vehicle who did not make it.

“Unfortunately, all US shows on the Locals Only Tour are cancelled. Refunds available at point of purchase. We will update you more when we can.”

Posting an update in 2016 drummer Andrew Tkaczyk confirmed that he’d been severely hurt during the crash.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “So the rumors are true everyone! Unfortunately I did lose my leg in this accident. This is one injury among many others such as fractures in my ribs, spine, and hip along with some ligament tears in my rotator cuff and Labrum.

“I have remained in positive and good spirits since I woke up from a 10 day coma in November to the sight of my missing leg. Not going to let it stop me. I don’t care what anyone says. It’s a long road ahead, but I WILL play drums again.

”Can’t wait to get back on the kit. Couldn’t have dealt with this without the love and support from my brothers in TGI & crew, friends, fans and family. Thank you all.”

Tickets for the show are will go on sale on March 1st, 10am PST.
