A star-studded turn out to see the sharp Swedes...
Rising Swedish sharp-suited five-piece Hives made an instore appearance at LONDON’s VIRGIN RECORDS on OXFORD STREET last night (December 17) in front of fans and guests who included Primal Scream‘s BOBBY GILLESPIE and ANDREW INNES and former MY BLOODY VALENTINE guitarist KEVIN SHIELDS.
Over 400 fans packed into the shop to see the band race through six tracks, including recent single ‘Supply And Demand’ and forthcoming single ‘Hate To Say I Told You So’.
Following their 45-minute set, the band stayed signing merchandise for a further hour and a half. Both Shields and Innes have become keen fans of the band. They had watched them play the previous evening at London’s Astoria. The band’s Poptones label boss Alan McGee – the founder of Creation Records – was also in the crowd.
Hives release their new single on February 11. They begin a 10-day UK tour on February 1 at London’s Astoria.
