The Horrors postpone Oxford and Bristol shows due to illness

Faris Badwan is still struggling with vocal problems

The Horrors have cancelled a further two shows on their UK tour, with frontman Faris Badwan‘s ongoing illness forcing them to postpone their show at O2 Academy Oxford tomorrow night (October 21) and at O2 Academy Bristol on Sunday (October 23).

The band had already been forced to nix last night’s (October 19) show in Edinburgh and tonight’s gig in Liverpool (October 20) after Badwan was struck down by a throat infection and have now been forced to pull their Oxford and Bristol shows as well.

Writing about his illness on the band’s official website Thehorrors.co.uk yesterday, Badwan revealed that he had returned to London to see a doctor regarding “problems with my voice”.

The band have promised to reschedule all four shows and added their sincere apologies for postponing the gigs. Dates for the rescheduled gigs will be announced in the coming days, but ticket buyers can also receive a full refund from their point of purchase if they wish. All original tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

The Horrors released their third album ‘Skying’ in July. You can watch an interview with the band from this summer’s Glastonbury by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
