They also announce their comeback tour
The Horrors have made their comeback single, ‘Sea Within A Sea’, available to download for free from today (March 17). The track is the first single to be taken from their second album, ‘Primary Colours’, which is released on May 4.
A video to the track can be seen by scrolling down now.
As previously reported, a timer appeared on Thehorrors.co.uk last week – although the band didn’t reveal what would happen when it reached zero.
When the timer finished counting down – at exactly midnight tonight – the single became available for free to members of The Horrors mailing list. Fans can also buy the song from iTunes.
The eight-minute song was produced by Portishead‘s Geoff Barrow last summer.
Furthermore, a video for the song is available to view by scrolling down now.
Directed by The Jesus and Mary Chain‘s Douglas Hart, the short shows the band performing the song in full in a studio, with a psychedelic projection interspersed throughout.
The Horrors have also announced their live comeback. The band will play London‘s Rich Mix Cinema on Bethnal Green Road next Monday (March 23), with tickets onsale now.
After that, they fly to the US for a tour with The Kills, before returning to the UK in May for a full tour.
The Horrors play the following UK venues this May:
