V Festival arrives in the US

The Killers, Chilli Peppers and Kasabian play new festival

V Festival made it’s American debut this Saturday (September 23) with headlining slots from The Killers and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

The event, which has run in the UK for ten years, was staged in Baltimore at the Pimlico Race Course.

Other bands performing at the event included Kasabian, Wolfmother, The Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Scissor Sisters, The Flaming Lips and The Who.

Virgin owner Richard Branson attended the event, asked about the line-up, he revealed “I love The Who, but I’m really interested to see the Scissor Sisters, too.”
